Hello everyone,My 1993 disco 1 came with 2 new rear springs,one of which had been fitted by the previous owner(offside). At one end, there are about 4 coils closely spaced together,marked with a red/grey paint code,while the oother end has normally spaced coils. while removing the old nearside spring,I noticed it had been fitted with the close spaced coils at the top,while the other other offside spring had been fitted with the close spaced/paint coded coils at the bottom. Assuming the old nearside one to be original, does that mean that the offside spring has been fitted upside down? I dont know if to fit the new nearside spring as the old one,with the close coils at the top,or as he had fitted the offside one,with the close coils at the bottom,and does it mtter anyway ,as long as they are both the same way up.Any help appreciated,Thanks Phil.
