Hi,

There have been some threads already about shocks. if it is better to fit Standard replacements or upgraded ones ?

Myself, I've recently fitted ProComp ES9000 front and rear with Standard height Heavy Duty Britpart Springs. The old shockers were well gone. Felt like a Bicycle pump when you pushed down on them, and no return action either.

Really noticed the difference, less body roll. Would have gone for DeCarbon as I had them on an old Astra road rally car, they really performed well, then went to Spax on Corsa, these were well Rubbish, and then I saw the Light and switched to the Green Oval.

I have +2" ProComp ES9000 & +2" springs with no anti roll bars, I'm well Impressed even towing a caravan.

I have +2" Procomp ES9000 shocks all round with +1.5" Bearmach Blue springs. Amazing transformation from tired old original suspension.
Cost me (last January) around £230 from 4x4 Store Exeter and took about 6 hours to fit.
