has anyone ever put back seats in a commercial 2 door , because of our ever money grabbing government i now have to tax mine as a private car so thought i might as well use it as one ( we are not allowed to use commercial for private and domestic use ) so if anyone has any tips on doing this i would be grateful, cheers , steve

i don't think the van was type approved to have rear seats so you may automatically invalidate your insurance

Can you explain these 2 bits:

- Have to tax it as a private car
- Not allowed to use commercial for private and domestic use

Thanks

legislation brought in by green party, people who own these com vans and jeeps must only use for work and not for doing the shopping so all us unemployed ex self employed guys that had a van for work etc and are now scraping a few euro of social have to re classify them to private and domestic ,or dont drive , the differance is com road tax is € 280 and private is € 640 so thats the real reason ireland is full of unemployed guys with wee vans so lets screw them a bit more
