Guys I have read a little here about the lock solenoid on the drivers door becoming faulty and when I found that only the passenger (front) door unlocked on the central locking I replaced the drivers lock assembly from a 3 door freelander that I am selling for spares or repair, This cured the front door problems (both front doors lock/unlock via the remote) however both rear passenger doors remain locked and I have to physically unlock them by pulling the interior handle twice. The remote will then lock all doors as normal. Can anybody advise what is wrong here?

because you have fitted the drivers lock assembly from the 3 door, the vehicle now believes it is a 3 door as the lock is coded to send a message to the ecu about which version it is. Hence the ecu doesn't send a signal to the rear doors anymore.

Ha-Ha, april fool.

Sounds like the solenoids have failed on those too, have you checked for voltage at the connector ?

My drivers side rear stopped unlocking from the fob a couple of days ago. I presume i need a new locking mechanism.
