Confusing myself on the rear pads for my 2002 90.
It would seem they should be held in with the little metal clips but mine are held in with pins and springs (same as 110).
So, do I need 110 pads and what is the part number?
Calipers have been changed in the past when it was in the hands of the previous owner.
Many thanks.

have a look here, i had the same head scratch moment on my ‘90 - previous owner had fitted 110 brakes.

So it seems like it's acceptable to change the rear 90 brakes to the later 110 calipers, pads and discs.

Old RR/disco/ LR used the smaller brakes on rear then changed then to larger 110 style.
Holes etc all line up fine & also means you don’t have to keep different pads incase of Emergamcy
So my rear pads are the same ones as the front?

If you have a 110…I have the large calipers on front of mine & use the spring(on the pin)set up as they are double pins. If the calliper only has 1 pin that’s when you need the spring clip onto the pad(these would be smaller calliper)

Post a photo of the rear calipers & pad.

Even on a 110 the front and rear pads are not the same. but they have the same method of securing with the solid pin and spring rather than a split pin and metal spring clip

Any help?

Interesting thread this, had no idea you could fit 110 calipers with no mods to a 90.
As an aside, in the future I'm thinking of doing an ashcroft auto conversion, my front calipers and discs need replacing, I know that brakes are used more when driving an auto, is it an idea to upgrade my fronts with 110 items, or at the very least vented discs, or do you chaps think standard would be OK? Thanks, and sorry for thread hijack!

Thanks guys, later 110 pads it is then.
Thanks for the help.
Well, actually it seems like it isn't!
Splashed out on some LOF pads and they are too wide for the calipers.
Should I then presume I have early 110 calipers and therefore need pads SFP000280? Seems to be the only other choice.
What a faff!
