On the rear, remove rubber dust cap, remove circlip, undo the drive flange bolts (5 I think), remove the drive flange pul out halfshaft... Job done.

i have a clunking coming from rear when pulling away and changing gear if dumping the clutch to quick but will have a good inspection first but have no idea where to get good parts from as only hand my LR acouple of months cheers

Good question neilly,it could well be a driveshaft UJ or the A frame ball joint.

Hi Dan,

I use the following suppliers, Others may have different preferences. .

Island 4x4
LR direct.
JGS 4x4.
Plus there are a few suppliers on the bay of E.
Maltings

Maybe @NorfolkBird knows a supplier locally who she would recommend.

But the first thing is as you say, investigate it first and then go from there.

Also, I would recommend downloading the RAVE manual , it is full of useful info.

Regarding the parts identification. ( but make sure to double check your VIN number)
I use this website to search for parts, and then I google the part numbers , and if necssary call one of my usual suppliers and ask them to double check.

A little bit of transmission fluid will leak out but nothing to worry about. You don't even have to take the wheel off. Do both at once too.

Get Brit part ones they're cheap as chips and fine.

as mentioned above, check the A frame ball joint it gives the same symptoms you describe

Hi Dan - I use a couple of v good garages for repairs in North Norfolk (if u want info. let me know). I tend to use Paddocks for bits & pieces. Hope you get it sorted.
