You know the sort, mild fog or misty visibility is not bad, you can see the cars behind and in front, also coming the other way.

Going to work, everyone had normal lights on, then the car in front of me shoved their rear fogs on, despite the fact they could see me clearly.

But since their vision was that bad, I went onto main beam and switched the light bar on so they could see me clearly.

Took them 20 seconds to get the message!

Are they as bad or worse than those who don't put any lights on? Usual people driving grey or silver cars too.

Good stuff! Some people clearly have no common sense. On the subject of fogs, I think that there should be a system in all vehicles that only allows the front fogs to work when the rears are on, which may reduce the amount of drivers who put their front fogs on 'to look cool'.

Used to be very common, fogs and side lights, I always thought it was a way of identifying tw@ts

Don't forget the ones on sidelights who think having switched some candles on they are perfectly visible.

I seeing people with daytime running lights do this more and more. You got no lights at all at the rear and tealights up front you Fecking mong!

Said it before, if a car has DRLs they should be on a light sensor, i.e they turn off at dark and switch to main lights. Too many f.uckwits driving around thinking they have lights on!

They should add things like this to the driving test.

Doesn't help when the dash is lit up as well sll the time. At least if the dash is in darkness until some proper lights are on there is no prompting for the dumbos that they may have forgotten something.

Had a larf this morning, driving down the M40 .

One third of the cars had rear fogs on.
One third the cars had headlights.
One third the cars had no lights,

Visibility on the motorway was as far as you could see.

Then there was a muppet who sat n the middle lane for at least 20 miles. despite being undertaken and people pulling across in front of him and moving to an empty inside lane.

No No.... I think what trumps it is folk who drive around lanes in the dark with 1 dipped beam not working so they have to swap between main beam and dipped (with 1 light on), we seem to breed them around here.

Or even just putting the handbrake on. It's what you're supposed to do even if you leave it in Drive.

That's what I do. Foot on the brake until the car behind has come to a stop and then handbrake. Neutral if it looks like a lengthy wait. Not difficult but the problem this thread highlights is a lot of people now are inconsiderate to others, good manners are the exception. Also they are too insulated from the world in an airbagged crumple zoned box, it's always some else's fault and they stare fixedly forwards only thiinking ten feet ahead. Any reaction to the outside tends to be an over reaction. Hence foglights when not really required. Which they forget to switch off.

Have an aversion to using the transmission brake just in case I accidentally..
Leave it on....

Same I only ever use the hand brake when parking. I've left it on too many times (light dont work either) and I find it just easier to sit on the foot brake
