Had a rear end clunk and replaced A frame bearing and bushings as advised, sounds like the rear end clunk has gone but I now have a sort of clink coming from gearbox or transfer box? the gearbox seems to rattle first thing from cold then stops after a few miles, all the gears are good no problems? any ideas please, 1990 defender 19j motor etc,

Do you get the clink when changing gear or when you take up drive? Or is it a constant clink?

changing gear 1st, 2nd, 3rd only, but if i do slow gear changes it doesn't make the noise, on hills because of the power i have to do quick changes and it clinks, new prop uj's no play anywhere,

Input gear she probably be-as said in link whip off ya pto cover on tranny box and check state of your gearbox output shaft/transfer input gear..
Johnys link is quite comprehensive on what to check.
Although my noise was from brackets bolting a-frame to chassis. I too had put new bushes and bearings but the new bolts were Shanked and the nut bottomed out before tightening plates to chassis hence my little clink. Worth checking tightness of all bits ya can see..and maybe inspecting splints in your prop for wear :)
