Hi, hope someone out there can help with this daft problem. My drivers door will not open from the internal or external handles, and my guess is the door has deadlocked. I fitted a brand new door actuator a few months ago and therefore do not want to smash it out.

My plan is therefore to remove the rear drivers door and then cut the drivers door striker (hopefully I can get as it with the rear door removed). I've followed RAVE instructions as follows for removal of the rear door:
  1. Release door harness protective sleeve from ’B/C’ post - DONE
  2. Disconnect door harness multi plugs - DONE
  3. Remove check strap retaining pin - DONE
  4. Remove hinge pin retaining clips - DONE
  5. With assistance remove door assembly - STUCK
However, at step 5 I can't get the door to release and it is still sitting on the hinge pins.
Can anyone advise how I physically get the door off the hinge pins - i.e. do I lift it, hit the top of the pins with a punch - as nothing seems to work. Any tried and trusted techniques would be appreciated.

No idea about removing the door, but others have managed to cut the striker without removing the door.

Front, yes. Not sure about rear.

If the locks are burning out I would be thinking RF interference.

I recently had 2 similar occurrences,
1, passenger door totally locked out, as yours, wound window down & managed to pry off the top, inner rubber molding from the top of the door card, this allowed me to 'look' down to check the cables, rods etc. ALL was perfect, but nothing unlocked.
Convinced it was the BeCM was throwing a wobbly, I contacted the guy at ClassicRides, who told me in no uncertain terms to put key in ign. turn on but don't start, walk away for 1/2 hour!!
3/4 hour later I went to the car, key out, key in & everything burst into life!! INCLUDING the doors unlocking as they should!

2, I too being desperate, was also about to remove the rear door & try & cut off the pillar-latch.
Did all the above except the pins, I simply removed the 4 hinge bolts in the door, leaving the hinge assy on the B post & the door came away dead easy,
but I never had to due to fixing the BeCM first.
Good luck.
