I have just been trying to find the source of the whistling noise and severe draught in my rear n/s door .
It seems that one of the seals from inside the channel of the rear , upright edge of the window frame is missing. ( It looks like it also guides the window )
Does anyone know the name of this u section type seal and where I could get one from?

you might find it in the door friction of the window pulling it down, used to happen on old cavaliers.Only an educated guess.

Good point. I will have a look tomorrow .
Any idea how it should be secured to the frame?

on most cars its a u shape and just pushed in on the cavs it used to split in corner and pull down silicon spray in the window groove used to help for a while

You were right .
The seal had slipped down the channel just as you described.
Sorted it ( For now! )
