do any of the people on this great site know if the front diff will fit innto the rear diff housing

And the rear will fit the front , but remember to check the bolt holes for the steering damper bracket, if it's been a rear they get full of rust n ****e, you get it all bolted up then find they need tapping out, much better to do it on the bench than upside down .
