Right where do a start ...
I bought a defender 2.5td last November.. as a project.. I decided to buy a discovery 300tdi so a could swap engines ..A lad who a no through a friend Have me a price of 750 to do the full conversion.. I agreed he says it would take a while ..so after a month a started to ring him to se what was going on.all a kept getting was it's nearly ready.8month later I decided a had enough of excuses and finally got it back ..it was no where beer finished ..it starts drives so that bits a bonus ...but there seems to be a wiring problem.. they are bunches of wires all taped up all over the place ..I have no indicators working ..no oil light start light etc ..I surmise it's all to do with these wires taped up all over.was wondering if anyone has done the same conversion. and would be able to send me a wiring diagram. the other thing it takes ages to start can't se any wiring to the heater plugs ..also cant switch engine of been told it could be the start stop celonoide....can any one help me please

introduce yoself and then change yo usercp to show where you are.

Should start without heater plugs so suspect fuel drain back either leak off pipes or lift pump.
Wiring 300 in should not affect anything other than engine electrics, sound like solenoid if it wont stop, maybe he's wired it to a permanent live

dont think a wiring diagram will help you , unless you have enough wiring knowledge to almost do it without . sorry for the bad news .
