Has anyone had their lower boot door re-skinned. I have been looking on ebay and they are offering doors for £80 but they look crunchier than mine where it is now staining almost the whole length of the bumper./ I have now started to think about getting a new skin and having a body shop fit tit o the frame and paint it.

Show us a pic of yours so we can see exactly? ;)

If it’s running from the inside bit (where you can’t actually see outside) just take it off clean out all the crud, tape it up and spray the inner bits black or something. Depends how bad it is.... my early 95 ain’t too bad was full of rotted conifer in there when I had it but cleaned up okay

will run in the rain on the bodywork though. Has with me - like the marks you likely have from the rust but ‘bluer’

Mine is bubbling in the bottom, like the CLASSIC!!

Old habits and all that!!

A Bodyshop should be able to tidy it up. ;)

It's electrolytic action between the steel carcass and the alloy skin, the oil acts as an insulator and stops or reduces the problem.
