Hi
i know that my car was made in 1961, but it was registered in 1971, as for the first 10 years of its life it served in the army and it was never registered.
how do i go abouts getting it re-registered for its original year of manafucture.
cheers yannis

i have a series 1 wearing a 1964 number due to its military commitmnents. im lead to believe that you can get a heritage certificate for £30 from gaydon, which you can send to dvla with the reason for re-reg. i understand you need it to be taxed and moted prior to changing the plates over.???

afaik, you do need to be road legal to change plates over.

aslo if u get allocated an age related plate, your stuck with it. it cannot then be switched onto another vehicle.
