last year at my MOT i was given an advisory caution because the cat converter had a rattle inside - bits were loose and they rattled on the overrun.
well, mot coming up again and still rattling...but can someone tell me whats in a cat, what would cause the rattling, would a bad rattle cause it to fail the mot and will the rattly bits cause an increase in emissions and an mot fail?

thanks
