Not asking for help or advice just having a rant to make me feel better. My Rangie which is, or was completly unmarked has had the rear drivers side glass behind the door smashed. I assume as the council were cutting the grass yesterday it was a stone thrown up by strimmer or mower. So not only do I have to wait for the windscreen fitter to come out I have got to arrange for the replacement to be tinted to match. Grrrr. I think I feel slightly better for getting that of my chest.

Claim off the council and if they mess around with claim handler say your take them to court- make step you keep photo and time and date the window damaged and a photo of any stone in boot to validate your claim

Update, windscreen fitter came out today, call cancelled yesterday as they said could't get the glass from their suppliers. Guess what, they arrived with wrong glass the electrical conections were in the wrong place and wouldn't reach either the radio aerial or alarm. Now they are saying the glass is going to be special order and be another week. They at least fitted the glass they brought with them so that the car is secure. And this is a major player in auto glass replacement. So yes I am still ranting.
