I have a 2006 MY RR currently running on Pirelli Scorpion Zero 255/55R19's which are approaching the end of their useful life.

I have been looking for comparable tyres to the PSZ as a possible alternative and have considered the new General Tires Grabber AT. I do most of my driving on the road with occassional light off road use.

Can anybody give an insight into the differences and advantages or otherwise between the PSZ and the Grabber AT.

Price difference maybe ? Lol
I can't justify spending £250 a tyre

I'm getting two new tyres fitted this week to mine. Mine are nexen roadians
I can't fault them and a bargain at £130 fitted

look on ebay, you can get a set of 4 alloys withgood tyres for 400

Yea Im currently running on a second hand eBay set that come with the alloys
But I wouldnt bother buying more part used to replace my current ones
For the difference in price it's worth just getting new ones

Im looking at getting Michelin Lattitude cross as they seem to have the best wear rating of all the tyres.
At the moment I have Pirelli on and they only lasted 15000 miles

On looking up this web site it dosent look like the latitude cross comes in 18 but the latitude tour does

GG ATs are superb off road tyres that work well on the road. The PZeros are fully road-biased tyres. Something like the Hancock Ventus ST is about £100 a rim cheaper (£175 fitted) and is still a very good tyre.

If you want something that will be a bit better off road but will still be predominately a road tyre Toyo Open Country HTs are £190 a piece fitted inc VAT from mytyres.co.uk

Just had General Grabber AT fitted on my P38. Stopped the tramlining I had with the Good Year Wranglers. £147 fitted each.

I've had Grabbers on for about six months now. Definitely not excessive road noise, nothing bad to say about them. Took it for a blast to clear it's tubes last weekend and it was rock steady at 90.

ive got the grabber AT'S on mine, it had AT2's on it when i bought it but 2 were needing replaced, but couldnt source any, i managed to get them for £123 each fitted, they are spot on for on road driving and havent let me down off road yet, i thought i would struggle with AT tyres as i had cooper discoverer STT's on my 110, but been all good so far

Some nice ideas here, I particularly like the sound of those Coopers. However I'm struggling to find a decent AT (or even just a more aggressive road tyre) for my RR's 20" wheels. Any ideas (that don't involve buying smaller wheels)?

Nexens are good quality at a great price.

are the coopers 275's if so do they fit the 20" rim with no spacers needed.
At the moment I'm on 4 nexen roadians 255-50-20 superb on road but wouldn't really trust them on a muddy field.

Yes mate 275 55 20, nope, no spacers

They fit fine, only very very slight rubbing on full lock

I've got 285/35 x 22 on my Stormer wheels.

Had a quote to gave the wheels refurbished for £45 per wheel.

Looking at getting tyres at same time.

But don't know wether I should get used tyres or budget new ones

Any thoughts?

IMO get shot of the stormers and get some LR 19"s or max 20"s.

22" look chavvy and tyres are not going be cheap!

20" is a good all rounder

And Pirelli scorpion zeros are better than the NEXENS

I have just mounted COntinental CrossContact LX2. It was chosen by a board of 4x4 drivers in Russia, over the Pirelli Scorpion. I paid 100 each tyre. Continental is good stuff.
