Hi all, well its finally happened my first fault with my new range rover, its a 2007 vogue diesel, i went out last night all was fine, came to come home started the car the radio came on as normal then after 20 seconds or so it switched itself off, then switched on again then off then on after 20 seconds and has continued to do so ever since, just before the radio screen switches off it displays a message A/V off then turns off, i think its a software glitch and i was wondering if there is any way to reboot the radio system in the hope it clears itself, any help greatly appreciated thanks.

If you're one of 'lucky' people with all your electronics tucked away in the side of your boot then I'd start there looking for moisture. Damp black boxes, corroded connectors etc.

thanks just started to strip the interior boot panels out but up to now all seems dry and ok

If you've got the sat nav make sure it's OFF before you touch it.

fixed!! I disconnected the battery for 10 mins reconnected it and everything is back to normal, must of been a software glitch in the system

hi i have had similar problem butt the radio has kept working butt the screen has gone black now i have just had a look at the wires and low and behold the blue plug to the system module is corroded to hell and back and one pin has snapped its that bad

Had one like that, I soldered a wire on to the PCB and connected it direct to the loom bridging the plug/socket. Need a good soldering iron with a fine point and the ability to work out where the connection should be.
