The biggest wheel tyre combo that you can possibly fit without fouling the suspension struts are either:

235/55 17" or 235/50 18"

I know - I have tried. I run the 17" - they have 5mm clearance to allow for tyre-flex on heavy cornering.

Singvogel.

You can run 19" wheels on a Freelander. Just need to find some Honda wheels that fit (5x114.3 PCD ;) )

OK - in theory you're right - with a 235/45 19" tyre that might just work - but has anyone tried it.

Be good to know if they clear the strut / spring cup.

That tyre size will be mega-expensive too I think.
