Morning all,

My missus has been driving the Feelander on a day to day basis.. and sometimes it just will not start!?

The electrics all work, and it turns over, but just doesn't kick in... she can try it a few times - then it will just work? Its not any consistance circumstances either.. parked on a incline, flat - hot weather, cold weather... just random.

I am thinking that the battery has never been changed, and will probably help. It had a major service in April with all new filters....

Any ideas?

if your fuse blades/holders are ocrroded as suggested then its easy enough to squirt em with WD40 and scrub em with a tooth brush or small screwdriver.

making sure you've turned off the ignition and removed battery positive first of course!

Will do - and thank you.

I know the fuse box is in the top right corner.. so is it just a open and remove the contents or get under it (underneath the car)...

no idea - but I had a random loss of electrics which was (eventually) found to be corroded connectors underneath.

Suspect it is a fuel pump on its way out, exactly how mine was before the pump in the tank died. Easy repair but £300 for part. Others say if one pump has gone, expect the other to follow soon...

or failing injector(s) - leak back test will prove, try spraying easy start into the air inlet when it fails to start. If it starts first time with easy start, would be looking at injectors, esp. if worse when cold.

if it gives a problem mainly when hot, would consider cam position sensor

good luck with this
