Morning guys, me again :D
About a month ago I found rain water drops on the front floor mats, both sides. Where the headlining meets the A-pillar trim was soaking wet so thought it was the sunroof drains blocked. Got the headlining off (very saggy and going to be re-trimmed next week anyway and gives me the chance to see the leak in action) and checked the sunroof and bone dry. As it happens was changing out some trime inside and the heavens opened.

This is the drivers side. I thought windscreen but it's too far up.

This is the passenger side, not as pronounced as the drivers but you can just about see it

Looking at it, seems to be coming from the blackplastic/rubber the runs along the roof. What do you guys reckon? Want to get it sort so it doesnt ruin the new headlining.

thanks everyone.

I had a leak in the same place. It turned out to be the mastic that holds the windscreen in!
Repair was to take the upper windscreen finisher off (you slide a credit card underneith and push off the clips). Buy more clips before you start because you always break a few. I then bought some black windscreen sealer stuff from Halfords and re-sealed the whole top edge of the glass.
Then put the upper finisher back on.
If you think the seal around the windscreen is fine, then is there a chance you've got a hole in the bodywork up there? I've read about a spot weld going bad and leaking. Either way get the finisher off and have a close look. The black plastic roof rail covers just pull off (carefully). They can fill with dirt over the years and stop the rain water draining away so it's a good idea to clean them out too.

Thanks MrGorsky, any idea of part numbers for the clips? If it is a bad spot weld then what he best course of action?

Actually, now he mentions it I think one of the Wills had his roof weld go. Littlewill, maybe?

A bad spot weld would need re-welding I think.

Part numbers will be on Island 4x4 or Microcat. I can't look them up at the moment because I'm away from my computer.

The sides screw in with Black pozi screws. The lower finisher has a different type of clip to the upper one.

Again, Microcat is your friend here...

Thought I'd give you all an update, too the black strips that run the lenght of the car and once I'd cleared all the acumulated rubbish, found that were very small cracks at the front. Covered it in silicone and now bone dry. Thanks for all the uggestions and help.
