I've been trying that simple job of removing my front radius arms. Following Busters photo guide - axle and chassis supported by axle stands, i've removed the rear bolts and one of the front two bolts on each side.

However, the second front bolt on each side of the car (different one on each side) is stuck.

I tried everything and eventually cut the head of the bolt of....then the nut...and the shank of the bolt STILL won't come out!!

I cannot get a really good smack at it due to things being in the way, but i've battered it all night and still can't get it out.

I considered if the radius arm was still carrying load, jamming the bolt, but when i put a bottle jack under the radius arm, it just lifted the axle of the axle stand.

Any thoughts or hints?!

likely rusted into the bush, you can cut the inner side or try spreading the bracket it will bend back ok

I was considering that, but not sure there is enough clearance for my grinder to get in. Will maybe try reciprocating saw tomorrow...

Cheers

If the heads are off then bend the brackets enough to get a thin cutting disk in.Saw should also do the job but not a way I have done.

I had the same problem.
Normal 4.5" grinder didn't have the depth of cut if I remember right.
I had to use a 9" one instead with a 1mm disc. Check your axle holes for wear , I had that as well to contend with.:(
Edit to say- used the grinder between bush and axle, didn't need to bend anything if you go careful.
