No answer elsewhere, so here it is here:

My wiring diagram is real good until it comes to the stereo. The colors all all wrong compared to the real deal, the wiring in the rig. I pulled the radio, cut off its wiring and frisbied it. So, I verified the accuracy if the pins with a volt meter, where voltage is expected, and a battery to maker the speakers pop. Pin-out is correct. So the only problem I have is with the speaker phasing. It is not on the diagram, and the speakers themselves have no "=" or "-" on them. Well, not the one I pulled (upper door). What I did observe was a black/white stripe on one side and a black on the other side. There is a dot punched into the terminal next to the plain black wire.

Puting two and two together, I guess the dot is "+" and the white striped wire would be "-" as we expect on most speaker wire. Assuming the last foot of wire matches the diagrams, this would make the odd pins "-" and the even pins "+".

Can anyone confirm my guesstimations and assumptions?

If anyone runs into the same conundrum and wants to see my chicken scratch diagram I drew up, they are welcome to it :D

TIA!

When you put a battery to the speaker terminals, when connected correctly the speaker cone should pull in when the polarity is correct relative to the battery terminal markings. Hope this helps.

Ta ever so. I'll give it a go tomorrow. I was going to drag out a signal generator, an amp and wire it all up. So you saved me an hour :D
