hi all
a freind of mine has a 1974 triumph 2.5 pi, he has fitted a rover 3.5 v8 into it, but the original triumph radiator is too small water capacity.
does anyone know the dimensions of a classic or a p38 radiator, to see if there is any way he can fit one in its place?

Water capacity doesn't matter as much as surface cooling area. Rads are sized to suit all climates, it's never going to be Arizona hot in the UK, I'd be inclned to try the PI rad with a good electric cooling fan and only change it if the heat level is uncontrolable.

got a 4.6 petrol rad in the garage if you need it
WILL MEASURE IT IN THE MORNING

he has tried it with the original rad, plus an extra home-made st/st expansion tank in the valley , which worked, but he is now fitting a massive four barrel carb on it, and there is no room for the st/st tank, so he wants to put a thicker radiator in, but with roughly the same width and height
