Having just bought my second Disco, it now requires some attention(of course) so I thought I'd throw a couple of questions out there! First, when I unlock the central locking, the drivers door lock pin doesn't come up far enough to unlock the door, is this the common spring issue? Next up, the tailgate door clicks a lot when it locks, the outer handle is very stiff (with rust?), is this another spring issue or is it the CL actuator playing up?

1. Could be, as that's one of the symptoms of an iffy Spring.
2. A slight adjustment only a millimetre or so of the actuator after undoing the mounting plate screws should stop that machine gun chatter sound.
3. As usual with anything stiff use lubricant.

Rear door you can ease out the "land rover" badge with a thin screwdriver and blast a load of WD40 into it. they are known for seizing up.
