Just running in our new TD5 (yr2000) and got a couple of questions.

Just spent half hour searching service intervals etc, but still non the wiser.

Hand book says 12K engine oil intervals
Haynes seems to be suggesting 6k

What is the interval?

Also I'm getting a bit of a hydraulic gurgling noise now and again when I go through a pothole or stop on the mearest hint of grit in the road. Is this just very sensitive ABS traction crontrol? Is it normal or is there a problem?
Most ABS/Traction controlled cars I drive would not do this unless properly locking up wheels etc.

Ohh also the service list mentions no cambelt, just auxiliary. Is there a belt/chain and does it need changing?

Ok
I see its got a a cam chain, so I guess this last indefinately.

Just the other Qs then tahh

oil change is upto you manufacturers aims is to increase mileage as long as possible for commercial reasons ,6ooo seems better for me,they do make that noise some more than others ,your not about to loose brakes

Mine is serviced every 6k. Also mine is not quite as sensitive as yours on the Abs/tc but I went over a speed bump the other day same thing you describe.
