Hi All
I am fitting 2 16 inch electric fans to my 300tdi and was wondering if it would be beneficial to wire them seperately so that one stays on all the time to keep the intercooler cool and the other wired via a thermostatic switch. The reason for this aproach is because I have been told that the engine loses power if the intercooler is not kept cool. Any thoughts on this would be apreciated.

Iv just done something similar with six fans on a buss! The three fans on the intercooler are constantly on although at a minimal speed! They ramp up as the engine starts to work! Suppose best think would be find out ideal cac air temp then find a thermistor controlled ecu that would keep the cac at that temp!
