Hi just been into a carspares shop. asked for thisa lucas distributor cap.they brought out one but says fucet on box its a blue cap.i questioned this being lucas and they said this is as good as lucas as he did show me on screen listing it lucas.is he bull****ing me as i told him that if its not lucas brand it dont work as good.as anyone else fitted this name fucet.its italian on box.this is for disco13.9v8.

One thought is lucas only, those of us old enough to remember-lucas turned out some real ****e.

I'd go with the part offered

It's VERY difficult to get proper Lucas stuff now, impossible probably.

Some are better than others, Ive had success with other brands, just gotta suck it and see, some are better than others.

What is the quality of the machining like on/around the contacts inside?

The cheaper ones tend to be fairly inaccurately made/machined and have flaky plastic etc

yeah exactly, thats lucas brand, not original lucas

bought about as good as you can expect to get from dingocroft a few years back and it was the same as your average cap

pot luck ive had great ones and **** ones
