Hi all
PO of my freelander2 07 auto spent a lot of money repairing the engine
I was given the receipt can anyone identify the original problem from the list of parts replaced exhaust camshaft, fuel sender unit, fuel filter, oil filter, valve cover gasket set, camshaft seal, antifreeze, hose clip, exhaust clamp, brake cleaner,5w30 oil,4 diesel injectors, high pressure fuel pump, timing chain, cam belt kit, water pump
Runs really well intend to do my own maintenance with the guidance of the knowledgeable members help
Thanks in advance

Most items just look like a "big" service including cam belt.

Obviously had a problem with the with some other things - wonder if they got the cam belt change wrong or maybe the previous one failed.

"timing chain, cam belt kit," TD4 then lol just sounds like a normal service history.
The FL2 was a test bed for next gen landrover and as such the diagnostics are rumored to have been hidden (lack of live data), which makes it hard to figure out whats up.

My guess is the exhaust camshaft failed, on the extension section, where it drives the High Pressure pump. However it looks like the garage suspected it was a fuel issue, so replaced the HP pump and injectors, probably unnecessarily.
The remaining stuff on the list would be replaced at the same time the exhaust camshaft was, although I'd only replace the timing chain, if it was worn.
