i have just purchased a 1999 1800 freelander, it comes with 3 month cover, but warranty wise for £285 do this cover for 12 months, has anyone used them before? or better still claimed from them?
the car has had a replacement head gasket 2k ago, I will fit a remote thermostat... cover as follows

all internal moving parts of: Manual Gearbox, Automatic Gearbox, Semi-Automatic Gearbox, Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT), Transfer Gearbox, Torque Converter, Overdrive.
Clutch
Flywheel (excludes dual mass flywheels), pressure plate, centre plate, release bearing, master cylinder, slave cylinder.
Drive Train
Drive shafts, prop-shafts, centre bearings, constant velocity joints, universal joints and couplings.
Differential
Front, Centre and Rear Differentials</B>
crown wheel and pinion and all other internal moving parts.
Suspension
Wheel bearings, cages, road springs, wishbones, track control arms and linkages, kingpins, ball and swivel joints.
Steering
Rack and pinion, steering box, power steering rack and pinion, power steering box, pressure pipes, idler box, hydraulic power steering pump, reservoir, track rod ends.
Braking System
Servo, master cylinder, wheel cylinders, callipers, vacuum pump, pressure restrictor valve, brake discs and drums.
ABS*
Pump and actuator/modulator.
Fuel System (petrol or diesel)
Lift pump mechanical and electrical fuel pump, injection pump, injectors, fuel gauge and fuel level sender unit, airflow meter, idle speed control valve, cold start valve and warm up regulator.
Cooling System
Radiator, heater matrix, water pump, viscous cooling fan coupling, thermostat and thermostat housing.
Electrical System
Starter motor, alternator, voltage regulator, ignition coils, ignition distributor and DIS, electronic ignition amplifier, indicator relay, front windscreen wiper motor and washer motor, electric window including switches, heater fan motor and horn.
ECU*
Engine management electronic control unit.
Casings
If any covered Part suffers a Breakdown and damages its casing then the casing will be covered. * Additional premiums may be required on certain vehicles, please check your Quotation or Proposal Form.
 
get the best warranty yu can afford. it dont say it covers consumables - on my hgf, it cost me &#163;500 to cover oils, hoses, thermostat etc etc etc etc:( also cost ME to get head checked for cracks and warping.
 
I would vouch for that, I have had quite a few claims on mine, including the manifold, and he rear door motor replaced. I still have about 21 months of the extended warrenty left with Network Q


Go for the best you can afford, as this will cover most items exept consumables. but should cover the CHG
