Afternoon all , Iv had a fiddle with the pump started off with just smoke screw adjustment made big difference so I went the whole hog once I had the top off I noted that mine had the little dimple in the diaphragm at the 1 o clock position so I assumed that it had already been tweeked As Iv read that there all at the 9 o clock position to start with ? Is this true
Anyhow once I took the diaphragm out for inspection I noted that there is only the one score mark from the pin so indicating that it has always been in this position from new perhaps? I marked all the standard positions first then just turned star wheel half turn and diaphragm to the 2 o clock position so hardly moving it , the smoke screw 1 an half turns and dam she shifts nicely no excessive smoke either infact hardly any to be seen
Anybody else found there's to have the dimple in that position to start with?
It's a 300 tdi xs on a 96
