As the title says, after fitting some parabolics with extended shackles i have now found the front prop is too short! Anyone else had the same problem? Can you buy a prop that is about 40mm/ 1"1/2 longer? (series III)

I don't know about getting a longer prop but, what about running paras with normal shackles? Parabolics and shackles will both jack the bus up, if combined too much.
Also won't the prop run a chance of touching the crossmember when going over awkward ground?
 
I had a prop shortened a while back by the propshaft clinic (enquiries@propshaft.co.uk) for - i think - £55+VAT including posting back to me. I doubt if lengthening would be much more. If you have a spare LWB rear shaft you could get this shortened to the right dimensions.

however ... by fitting longer shackles at the front springs you have rotated your axle slightly, and hence moved your propshaft flange further away from the gearbox. This also increases the castor angle on the steering (which will help it self-centre but may make it feel heavier).

you can rectify this by fitting castor correction wedges which fit under the spring seat, although I've never tried them. this will also move the prop flange a bit closer to the gearbox, but probably not by the 40mm you require.

the paras will probably lift the front of the landy anyway. I also would be tempted to put standard shackles back on.
 
No idea how long it is, but at a guess - roughly the length of an 88" SWB rear one, plus the difference between 88" and 109", minus a little bit because I think most 109's have a Salisbury rear diff which I'm led to believe has a slightly longer nose.
 
the salisbury does have a longer nose i have a 109" s3 prop in my garage would you like me to measure it? (i also have a series 2 one that has is for a 109 with a rover rear axle......

....Not an offer you should consider lightly....
 
gone2far are a company that make props for lifted vehicles - what they are like, i have no idea - but they seem to be popular!
 
good thinking. just make sure it goes short enough to avoid damage to transfer box and diff on full suspension compression.

with extended shackles you may want to consider extended bump stops to avoid overflexing springs.
