Hi

The gator on my front prop is non existant! so i thought i better replace it before the MOT. how do i go about doing this? will the prop slide apart like a tractor one? or do i have to take apart the joint?

There's a pressed steel retainer on a fine thread at one end of the slidey bit, undo it with a pipe wrench like a bottle top ... undo one of the flanges and the end of the prop will slide off to bung a new rubber on. Would be surprised if it's an MOT failure though. You don't have to take apart the UJ.

But make sure that you mark the alignment of the two half's, so that the go back the same way!
