I listed this in the V8 section as well...sorry
Started a few month ago, the engine starts up beautifull (73K on a 04 plate) , but after 10 mins ,once its up to temp a clancky, cammy noise starts ,but the sound comes from the right bank high up in the engine, sounds like a rocker... a few peaple had a listen and we all said "cams gone". So off to my local indy, whom felt it could be the cam or the tappets " best do them both", i sorced a cam, followers and timing chain from RPI (partsrange)., duely fitted by my local indy...started the car...lovely...for ten minets, then back was the clacky, cammy sound. i read some where here on a forum someone had a simular problen and it was the rockers and shafts were worn...so new rockers and shafts from RPI...fitted them and yep the F%&*ing sound from the devil was still there.
As you might imagine the chap at the garage is sick of the sight of me and my V8, i cant keep chucking money at it,I'v spent almost grand up to now, any one got ant ideas..please

Pass, I'd suggest a doctors stethoscope and when you have done initial diagnosis, the jag version had nakasil liners changed to ductile iron on early engines.

Or possibly little end?
