p38 4.6 prince multipoint lpg 1994
After replacing becm (earlier thread) engine starts fine on petrol when cold en goes smoothly into lpg modus.
When warm it does not start on petrol until the engine cooled down fully.
I changed the crank sensor last year.I read that the car will start without most sensors so can it be only the crank sensor again ? or which other first step I have to take without turning in circles

Could be the CPS sensor cutting out when hot.

Hit it with some freeze spray.

Then try cranking her over.

You could spray Isopropyl it will do the same thing.. dissipate faster in heat

Dissipates with heat though, why would you want it to cool things? you just need to know whats hot and whats not hot?

I tried freeze spray, no result.ormal
Is it true that an abnormal sound of starter can be caused bij a faulty crank sensor .I changed the starter and ring on the flywheel two years ago.
When I start with cold engine I hear the starter only a bit at the end. When I start warm it seems as if the starter can t hold up with the flywheel.
I ll check the wires and otherwise a new sensor but the problem started the same day after replacing the becm

My starter always sounds the same. Hot starting issues on the diesel M51 engine are common.

I doubt the BECM is at fault. If it's a pre-engage starter, they can stick in the engaged position, my Transit does that when cold and is OK when hot.
Hot start problems are common on the M51.
