Hi Everyone,

This is my first post on this forum, and I'm hoping that someone with a bit of expertise can help me out.

I have a 2002 Discovery 4.0 V8 with a Zavoli LPG conversion. It starts and runs ok on petrol, then changes over to gas smoothly without missing a beat. I can drive it on gas for about a mile or two without any problems, then it starts to hesitate as if it is being starved of fuel. These hesitations last maybe 1 second, but sometimes 2 or 3 and only seem to occur just as I'm accelerating after slowing for a junction or roundabout. If I switch back to petrol and build the speed up to over 40, then switch back to gas, all is ok once again. The work I've already done is as follows.

NGK BPR6ES plugs fitted
New leads
New coil packs
New genuine MAF sensor
All vacuum pipes replaced
Vapourizer rebuilt with new diaphragm's
LPG MAP sensor (AEB013) replaced with updated AEB025
Gas temp sender in vapouriser replaced
Fuel adaptions reset
Checked for air leaks on inlet manifold
New inline LPG filter and solenoid filter

I have the Zavoli software on my laptop and I have noticed on 2 occasions when I've been messing with the system that after having the car ticking over for 20 - 30 mins, then going out for a drive with the laptop plugged in, the car drove perfectly on gas with no hesitation. The second time I did this, I unplugged the USB plug from my laptop whilst driving after 5 miles, and it continued to drive perfectly. My way of thinking now is that the problem is temperature related or an airlock in the system, however whenever I have touched the vapouriser after a bout of hesitation, it is too hot to touch.

I have been getting various codes such as random cylinder misfired, occasional rich and lean running codes, Secondary air injection codes etc, but I'm if the opinion that many are a result of the hesitation on gas rather than a symptom. Once I get rid of the problem, hopefully some will go away then I can deal with the ones that are left.

Anyway, thanks for taking the time to read this long post and I welcome yoour suggestions.

Regards
Clive
