Private plates are like 22" wheels and window tints - for chavs and drug dealers only.

When I bought my first car it had a 3 number 3 letter plate without prefix or suffix. (prbably best part of the car) and I've kept it on my daily drivers ever since.

costs £80 each time you switch it, You need current MOT to switch, and DVLA can ask to inspect the donor each time. That means in theory, if your car is written off, then the plate could 'die' with it.

However, It's kind of nice, and as long as you don't alter / mispell thing with it, then I don't think it is too bad.

But then, I'm only running 18" wheels and factory tints!

I`ve got 2, H6 SAS which is on my work van, B 13ALD on an old XJS. Got an old 1954 Fordson van i`m customising which has the original plate NAS 165

sally came with K15AWA which i'm guessing is some cheapskates version of AXA or 4x4.

Dean has DS51 FOX on retention, he's had that since it first came out, before he married me, so had more money than sense. we had H17CPC and H16CPC as a pair on our mondeo ghia and scorpio as advertising things for dean's company.
i would like a proper AXA plate at some point, but money needs to be right.
My uncle has always had private plates, and i kinda grew up helping him work on a variety of cars that all had same reg, so was something i wanted.
wouldn't bother with a sarah plate coz i think they're crap, but wouldn't mind a D1 AXA or similar. with our now matching disco's i guess it would be nice to have matching plates again.....
might have a looky into J15AWA...lol two cheapskate axa plates! tasteful...

Well the 1 is just a line |. The thee is the front of a B cut off and they are very close together so it looks like a B.

If that is true, then the spacing doesnt conform to DVLA regs and is illegal. Yu can get stopped by the cops at any time.

wtf you doing online ?

aint you at pikey city ?

That was last night  and it was so ****e I left at 10:40. Campsite was a stubble field that had more stones than Chesil beach. £15 to camp for 1 night & then another £6 to get into the concert I wanted to see and £4 for a ****ty burger. So I fooked it off. and went home.
