Is there a facility to tag a member in a post?

Would this be worth doing? For example say there is an upcoming trip or a subject that you know would interest someone could we have the facility to notify a member about it?

Apologies if this has been covered or is a **** idea!

I'm not quite sure how tagging would work but you could copy and paste the thread and then send it to whoever via pm.

Hey ratty

I suppose I'm just being lazy! Just thought it might be quicker.

I know you can tag keywords for relevant posts, just wondered if you could tag members too.

Nevermind, just an idea. Thanks for the reply.

Have you seen this working elsewhere on another forum?

As far as I can gather, tagging would only work if somebody used the search function to check out their name? Or have I got this wrong?

:eek::eek: don't tag me, and out of interest a letter today caught fire:D

I'd forgetted about that.....

I'll go and check my pooter now.:p

The bad news is that I cannot tell if I can do it or not without plugging the vehicle in.

I do seem to remember summit about fuel pump settings when we had it plugged in last time but can't be certain. If we have one of our astra or zafira loan cars sitting around the yard when I'm at work tomorrow I'll see if I can plug one in.

Thanks, I'm reasonably sure it will- at the moment it is simply dumping fuel into tank return.

at least it will make it last longer cos you can't burn it.:D:D:D

I've just had a quick flick through the 10.4 software application guide and it doesn't make any reference to pump settings there but then again it only lists changes since the last publication.

Erm Facebook :bolt::behindsofa:

You tag someone and the forum generates a notification by email so you can see that uve been tagged.

Of course it would only work if the recipient has email notification turned on.
