Hi All

I have a 1988 3.5 EFI Auto RRC.

This morning I went to put the Rangie into reverse and nothing happened, then back into drive and again nothing, just free revs. I switched off and re-started and bingo all was well. This also happened a couple of weeks ago. That time as well, switching off and re-starting also solved the problem.

I also seem to have another, maybe connected, problem. I cannot move the transfer stick from high to low. I have tried this today in nuetral at a standstill and also slightly moving forward. The lever will not move up to go in low.

I am not very mechanical but would an inkling as to what might be going on and the seriosness level.

Hopefully someone might be able to push me in the right direction.
