Hi Landroverists !
I'm looking for a vehicle that will fulfill both my business (electrician) and personal (2 ton caravan, horse box, speed boat) needs. I currently use a van for business and a VW Touareg for everything else. The Touareg is an awsome car, goes wherever I point it, and does everything I ask of it.
I've owned previous Landy's (Disco 300Tdi, Defender 200Tdi and a Range Rover with that woeful Italian VM Diesel) so I'm not completely unfamiliar with older models, but the time maybe right to combine a work and leisure vehicle.
The motor that ticks the most boxes is a 110 Utility XS. I drove a new one today and was pleasantly surprised at the new dash, 6 speed box, comfy(ish) seats and so on but security is a slight worry with door locks from 1945 taking care of my sparky tools etc.
Anyway whats the Defender with a Transit Tdci motor like to live with? Not overly fussed about economy, but servicing, known issues, pleasantries, not so nice stuff, etc. etc.
BTW, its nice to be talking Land Rover again !!
