hello people got myself a disco 1 with 2"lift and 2" cut out of arches it was all ok with my a/t tyres but my new 265 75 16 on 8 spokes keep rubbing and damaging arches and rear quarters any ideas ?

Cut more arch away.or fit a body lift

fit skinnier tyres.

All the solutions are fairly obvious

well if you can't take anymore metal off the arches,

That narrows it down to skinnier tyres or a body lift.

Sounds like you got some trimming to do and then some.
Your 8 spoke wheels have a wider offset which will make the rubbing worse between the outer edges and the wheelarch lips.
DV has the same set up as you, but with 4" lift and he has a 'camel cut' on the rear arch along with no plastic sill trim or standard front bumper.
My old Disco was on about 3ish inch lift on modular wheels with 265 tyres and I ended up fitting a wide arch kit to it to stop this happening.
This meant cutting up to 2" out of the arches in places and into the second skin of the rear doors too - a job not for the faint hearted.
Cured the problem though ;)
I guess that's why I went back to 235/70 16s on my current Disco - less ground clearance, but a shedload less hassle with everything else.

ye cheers it seems i have to raise the arch kit by cutting into second skin on the back. The front bumper has been cut diagonally from bottom of wing into the center
