recently fitted a new engine after mine died, after swapping everything over i found that the early bmw engine had a different sized fuel injection pump, so lots of research the early fuel injection pump can be fitted but the top of my original pump must be fitted and adjusted buy a specialist, so i send it of to a bosch specialist who has a fuel pump, and can swap and adjust/set up.. we agree as price, for fitting and adjustment, but now the engine runs and then dies, before i let them loose to spend lots of money looking deeper. could this be where i swapped the sensor going to the dual mass flywheel, the one that bolts into the bell housing not being the exact distance??

thanks for reading

Having the sensor at exactly the right distance is pretty critical. Need it on diagnostics.
