Good day to all...

Have a 2000/W Land Rovery discovery td5
5 speed manual..

Drives lovely when driving gently and normally buttttt as soon as you put your foot down it starts to jerk? like holding back or missing but ease of and its ok..

Just bought the landy and found the fuel filter very very rusty and changed it but not much difference..

Would appreciate some feedback pleassssssE..

Thanks

Azz

Sounds like the intank pump is ok because you have changed the filter and managed to bleed it.
Check for a boost leak.
Fuel starvation, filter head can block up.
turbo waste gate sticking.
Exhaust blocked.
EGR sticking.
check the air filter.
MAP sensor.
Injector nose seals can let combustion gasses into the fuel rail.
better still get the fault codes read and take it from there.

As above, injection harness and oil in ECU. I had a misfire on my D2 TD5 for ages once the harness was replaced and the ECU cleaned out, it was much better.

(Until the ABS, lower rad pipe, head gasket, air bags, suspension bushes failed. Not to mention the leaking sunroofs.)

Got a defender now
