just a quick question about a plate i found on the side of the 200tdi lump im fitting in me 90 by the starter motor, it says genuine landrove parts exchange and has model and serial numbers on it,does this indicate a recon at some point or do they all have this as the main id for the lump?

cheers,it ran lovely in the disco before i stripped it and it's got to be better than the knackered 19j lump, anything to look out for on a recon?

no only joking should be alright,check oil pressure if good will shoot straight up to 50 psi ,starting quick very good sign means compression

it stood 3 years and started first turn with no smoke or glow plugs cos the ignition was nackered,thanks for the quick response mate,i dont know what people are on about cos yer make me chuckle now and then,top bloke.

what are they on about?sounds good just fitted one to my exlightwieght swapped for td5 disco it was like that so confident

sense of humour i'm praying the plumbing in goes easier than fitting the lump cos i'ts been a right pain to marry up to my old gearbox ,lots of in,out,in,out,shake it all about.never again without help will i do that job it's too much jiggery pokery.again thanks james.
