hi all
I just went to open my bonnet on p38 and the plastic pull just snapped off is this an easy job to replace,is there any thing i should look out for ,
I see the petrol cut off switch is on the same panel
can any one help

I had this happen on a P38 I owned a while back, it was caused by a dry/semi siezed release cable, if you can, undo the ends of the cable under the bonnet and run some WD40 followed by some oil down the cable (while you get someone else to push and pull the release leaver, well what's left of it) if it's more free running it will be easier to pull the leaver.
I made it a bit easier still but drilling a little hole in the broken end of it and screwing in a longish self tapping screw, gave a bit more to pull on.
