has any one got one of the plastic clips that hold the push rod onto the clutch fork?? i've tried all the usual suspects but none have them. or will i have to drill a hole and cable tie the bastid?

Slob knows where this is going from other threads - but I have a spare gearbox in the garage from a Series 3. I'll go and have a look and see if it has those bits on.

Oi, Slob, does this mean you're actually getting yer hands dirty & sorting the bleedin' thing? Wonders'll never cease!

on mine there was a plastic clip holding the rod onto the fork. a kinda creamy colour although it may have been white when it was made.

White plastic clip thing. Holds slave cylinder push rod to clutch release lever. I must say, we do put an awful lot of trust in the little bit of plastic don't we? Clip appears complete.

What do you want to do?

I'm looking for some screws to hold floor down as they seem to be a short supply too. Deepish puddles at speed a bit scary for passengers.

Hey up Slob did you get the clip sorted? If not there 79p from main dealers less from Beamends. The one I got from Beamends broke as I was trying to fit it, I'm going to try main dealers one tonight but dont think I'll have any better luck. So I'll make one out of a broken one and an old spring. I've tried tie wraps but they didn't hold it well enough for my liking.

I'm trying to fit the clip through the slave cylinder hole does anyone have any tips for doing this? A bit of practice finding the missuses G spot might help.

Dunt matter, I've made a spring clip and a special tool to fit it and it works a treat.
