The pipe in my fingers is not connected to anything. There looks like there is a possible connection under the plastic cover where the red arrow is pointing which has been plugged up. Does this mean the EGR has been blanked off? Is this good?

I only got the vehicle a few weeks ago and previous owner never mentioned it. It has come up a couple of times with 'Performance restriction' error when putting my foot down to join a motorway. But disappears on next start up.

Is it best to get someone to check the software or get it reconnected? Any suggestions welcome or places (I'm south Lincolnshire)

I don't know but if it is egr delete then bear in mind it's an MOT fail and also illegal.
Just so you know.

It has just passed the MOT a couple of weeks ago. They replaced the oil cooler so the must have seen it....hopefully just turned a blind eye. To be fair I wouldn't have known anything about it if I hadn't been having a nose in there......

The hilarious thing about an EGR delete is that without it a vehicle still passes the emissions part of the MOT.
So begs the question, why the feck???
