The high pressure pump requires the diesel to lubricate it, petrol will wash any lubrication away and WILL cause major damage to the pump.I'd give RAC/AA a call, member or not they can come to you and drain it properly for a fee.
Unless you have the correct kit you won't be able to do it yourself.
DO NOT START THE ENGINE!
does it have the nasty saddle bag tanks like the l322?
Ive had a couple of cars in recently with petrol in the doosle, apparently a local sainsburies have changed all there hoses to yellow  and yellow used to be for city doosle
Hasn't the d4 got an electric lift pump in the fuel tank??
Apparently not the skoda superb i had in had 19ltrs of petrol in a full tank (which i think is 70ltrs) and it wouldn't run for more than about 3 mins, i believe its a temp issue shuts the pump down, took about 45mins before it would start again.Couldnt you stick a gallon of oil in for lubeing the pump, i dont know am just asking ?
Well thats the easiest way to get the fuel out then thats how i did the skodaYes. If it has a saddle bag tank, it has 2 leccy fuel pumps.
