Hi

What a nit wit, i have filled my diesel tank with petrol. I have to replace the fuel pump anyway. After i have drained the tank and changed the pump and filter what is the best way to proceed. Any suggestions welcome.

MHM is spot on as usual mate,
make sure you brim it then drive it, a bit of petrol wont harm your engine, some people put a gallon in a tank for a system clean out!

If you drove or ran the engine with the petrol ,you should change the engine oil and filter.The petrol being thinner than diesel makes its way past the piston rings and thins the oil,causes problems in the future.It never happened to me but my dad did it once.
