going to pick up a S3 in a sorry state tomorrow that i got off ebay. the guy says the engine ran but the fuel pump gave up. so before i9 take it out i want to try to get it to graft, so i was thinking of trying to run it off a jerry can straight to the carb. Would this work, or if not any other ideas

Any help will be appreciated!

yes it will work but you will need to get a fuel line into the bottom of the can first. gravity feed you see!
other way is to use an electric pump. an old mini SU pump will do the job.

dont use a high pressure pump from a fuel injected engine though.

Get a jerry can pouring spout, and rig it up with a piece of hose... Funnel and pipe would work 2, did this on my diesel water pump last summer to get diesel into the IP. Scared me a litte watching the fuel disappear!
